Brian M. Sadowski, MD

Dr. Brian Sadowski grew up in Illinois, then traveled to Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, for his undergraduate studies in Chemistry. After graduating Summa Cum Laude, he continued at Creighton University and completed his medical school training with Cum Laude honors. His general surgery residency was completed at Texas A&M University/Scott and White Healthcare in Temple, Texas. He completed his colon and rectal surgery residency at the University of Connecticut/St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut, before settling in South Carolina with his family.

Dr. Sadowski is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.  He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a fellow the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (FASCRS). He holds certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.  

Dr. Sadowski treats colon, rectal, and anal cancer, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, rectal prolapse, hemorrhoids, fissures, fistulas, condyloma, fecal incontinence, and other less common maladies.  He performs colonoscopy, open and laparoscopic colon and rectal surgery for benign and malignant diseases, as well as the full spectrum of anorectal procedures.  

During his training, he completed and published research on inguinal hernias and thyroid surgical procedures.  During his colon and rectal surgery residency, he completed research on robotic colon surgery.
